USB 3.0 and Light peak

Happy New Year!
I’ve been keeping an eye on the development of data transfer and connection protocols since this stuff is relative to. I know  you stay pretty informed. I’m looking forward to the introduction of usb 3 or super speed usb and  Light Peak by Intel. They both can be very useful in digital audio and video if they can meet the demand that many devices have for bus power. I am certain that there will be a slew of crappy devices making use of these technologies, but that it will also be put to good use by companies like RME, Apogee, Novation, UA, Canon, Sony, and others.

Tv art?

•November 19, 2009 • Leave a Comment

Is tv art? While some would argue that it is merely a delivery mechanism for ads, I think it deserves a fair shake as a sort of serialized short film format. American television is a little bit behind Europe in terms of artistic integrity on the surface, but it is really the dialog and academic categorization that is behind.

From it’s start, tv in the US was relegated to part of communications studies in the US while Europe with England in particular tracing television alongside humanities resulting in a more ‘arty’ approach to production and criticism with methods used in cultural and film studies.

How about them venture bros!
